About
Mrs MacLaughter
Hi, I'm Katy-Anne
I help people and teams regulate energy, connect with others, and build resilient presence through intentional laughter-based practice.
I work with corporate teams seeking practical wellbeing tools, as well as individuals and wellbeing collaborators exploring embodied practices.
My work draws on years of group facilitation, lived experience and laughter-based practice training.
Even during serious or high-stakes moments, we can find a reset through joyful regulated practice. It doesn't remove the challenge, but it helps you navigate it with greater presence and choice.

The Philosophy
Behind the Practice
In high-pressure environments, many people cope well — until they don’t.
Life and workload demands rarely provide advance notice. Sustainable performance depends on having regulation practices already in place before pressure peaks.
The sessions are intentionally active and inclusive. Many individuals cannot move directly from high stress into stillness. Beginning with accessible, shared activation allows participants to regulate breath and energy before progressing into guided integration.
Engagement is not incidental — it is the mechanism through which regulation becomes accessible and repeatable.
When a practice feels overly serious or effortful, it is less likely to be sustained. When it is structured, active and appropriately enjoyable, it becomes easier to return to — even during the most demanding periods.
Mrs MacLaughter’s approach recognises that wellbeing does not need to be solemn to be effective. In fact, structured moments of shared activation can support clarity, connection and cohesion within professional teams.
The aim is simple: to create space where teams can put the weight down — and return to work with renewed focus.
